How do y'all deal with a rude recruiter during an intro call? Never had an interaction like this, only neutral at worst.

Context: Company is series D, ~500 people

After being 7+ mins late with no apology, he asks me, "Are you sure you can chat? Sounds like you can't." He then proceeds to ask antagonistic questions about why I left my previous companies, signaling that it was negative to have time gaps in one's resume. Although I ended the call on a good note, I was completely caught off guard by how the conversation started. I literally recite the same script during the intro call which has always been very well received by recruiters. The thing is, the company didn't seem very appealing from first glance but I wanted to learn more. Now I'm completely turned off.

Questions:
(1) Is it that bad to have gaps in one's resume? Haven't had any negative feedback prior to this call.
(2) What should one do when the recruiter is being rude during an intro call?

TC: 💩

Edit: Just searched this company on Blind--several bad reviews about culture. Looked up the guy on LinkedIn and I think the dude was projecting. He has several 1-year stints and gaps in his career, one of which was 2+ years.
