Hello I'm 25 I have a sociology degree from UT Austin. After graduation I took a low paying 2 yr contract and worked as an adviser in a high school in my home town. I ended up getting a second job for a partnership company that markets online degrees for universities. I now work there fulltime It is a call center role that I do from home. I'm stuck between what to go back and get my masters degree in, alot of majors in interested in the colleges nearby don't offer. If I do online college and work from home --- tbh I'm 25 and recluse life isn't fun. I am pretty introverted though. I have a great apt and don't know if moving is the best option for me. I want to get into a more millienial role where I enjoy my career and am not confined to a phone or desk. Though I actually found I didn't like working in a high school either. I took a lot of different courses in college and have a lot of different interests. Idk where to start yet I've spent a year researching careers and learning what's out there. I just feel stuck and going in circles. Woah! Thank u all for the feedback so far. So here's a little more on my interest... I haven't gotten back in school yet bc alot of majors require gre ... Idk if its self studying or what but I get nowhere with it. I actually prefer to study for the LSAT so I ventured into tying sociology with law and considered law school. The company I work for does tuition reimbursement so I thought about getting m.ed and continuing in higher ed for a while But I needed teaching certification and 2 yrs exp. So there's that. I'm not very good at math, I only took stat online in college and professor passed us all with As. I was in journalism in HS and tried to change my major to advertising in college but UT is strict I didn't get in eventhough I met the requirements. I ended up taking alot of unneeded adv and public relations classes and used it as my minor. I also have a business and public policy certificate. Lot of knowledge that idk how to apply
you can try coding bootcamps
Welcome to life. It's a bitch and then you die. It doesn't sound like coding would be your jam if you don't want to be stuck behind a desk. Find a job that allows you to travel maybe? Training? Sales?
If you like these then you may later think about a career shift completely in software / Front end architecture
And the last step and beginning step would be to get a Engineering degree (hard step) , and if patience is a constraint then 3 months software boot camps (medium step )
Have you considered applying to jobs in HR depts of tech companies or public policy roles in govt?
Read my comment below please , sort of..
Tech recruiters at Fang are being paid very handsomely averages TC 150 K- 200 K per year and it involves a lot of talking to other folks so your sociology degree may be handy.. Think about getting that route as well..
If you don't like jobs that confine you to a desk majority of your day, this is much better choice than engineering or design
Thank you all of what you've said has been helpful!

Would you like coding ?
I actually would and already do. I have beginner knowledge with web design , HTML CSS etc. Idk about the really technical aspect but I do think I'd like to take the creative route. I use a couple free apps and websites but how do I really get skill development ?
Look for a digital agency job building marketing websites or just freelance in general. Take low pay for a while ($20-30/hour) and you’ll get better over time and start commanding more $$. Once you’re really good, consider joining a startup or big tech co. Move up the ranks there and be set for life. 👌
