MS is also public, so I can get actual cash and diversify a lot sooner.
Microsoft is also rest and vest. Stripe has bad wlb for some teams at least.
How is affirm's wlb?
This is a misconception. A lot of teams, especially in Azure have shit wlb
Stripe is for the risk taker, Microsoft is for the risk averse - the person that takes bets on pre-IPO is fundamentally different from a person that cares about immediate liquidity. Personally I would say $250k Stripe = $400k MS but I am pretty bullish on Stripe to eventually become a trillion dollar company in a 6-10 year time frame
The only benefit for stripe is the RSUs you get pre IPO. Which is est 1-2 years aka 500k worth, after that, you can just buy Stripe stocks for most of that 6-10 year time frame.
How do you invest in stripe ?It's not public right now. Is there any way to dot it?
You’d have to join stripe
Ooh! Thanks for the clarification
I’m a little skeptical about stripes evaluation
Microsoft pays 250k RSU per year??? That’s a 1M over 4 years. What level is getting this? On the other hand 250k stripe rsu offer per year is common for L3/4
LinkedIn gets MSFT stock.
LinkedIn for l3 equivalent gets 700k over four years. Haven’t seen a mil offer
The upside of Stripe is in the order of the 3x to 10x after IPO
What about Snap, is it overvalued?
