I’m in the southeast making about 180k tc working as an Advisory Solutions Architect. I work from home with some travel and I’m wondering what I should focus on doing to move into the 200k+ area. I have 14 years experience with networking, virtualization, and security. I had some VMware, Cisco and other certs but they have all expired. Note- I’m not in sales but definitely open to it.
Get into Salesforce, can easily pull 200-300k as a salesforce architect
What cert would you recommend?
If you get certified technical architect (CTA) you can demand higher than 300k. But most people have a chunk of the pre-req certs and are in 200-300k as they work towards CTA. For sure want an employer to be paying for these as the test fees add up...
I'm at 300k TC living remotely, I live in a fucking mansion and I cry for my colleagues when I visit them in the Bay Area
What’s ur job title and what location do u live in?
I don't want to give too much information to identify myself, but basically you have to get staff or above while working in the Bay Area and then transfer out. I think this equates to L5 Facebook
