My wife and I differ in opinion regarding tipping our Uber driver. She says it's just like a taxi and I'd tip a taxi driver. I tell her the economics are different with Uber and if I was meant to tip than Uber would add it to the review flow.
We've now read a few articles online and the net is that, of course, drivers wish people would tip (with cash) and that they have asked Uber through various feedback channels to add this functionality.
None of the articles have any insight into the actual driver/Uber economics, so I'm curious to hear what other customers think and if anyone from Uber can chime in too.
Also, this conversation started during my first Uber Eats order, where I didn't tip. (I could get used to this service, it was quick and easy, nice work Uber) Curious if the delivery context changes how Uber/drivers/customers feel?

Also, tipping Taxi drivers isn't universal outside the US. I lived in Europe for a couple of years and never tipped taxi drivers.
