Hello everyone,

It seems like Walmart is launching their e-commerce platform for third party sellers to resell, just like Amazon. The competition is stiff. There is a company I know that actually builds those Walmart stores and list products and generate a return because Amazon is saturated and they do price reduction with their algorithm. What are your thoughts ?

  • Walmart is always behind. Like 10 years behind. I spent 12 years there in various roles and levels. Those are my thoughts.

  • Doesn't walmart already have this? I've seen plenty of sketchy third party sellers offering ridiculous deals on gaming consoles

Try returning something from 3rd party purchased on Walmart.com. It was a horrible experience for me. Never again

I do not Amazon focuses on their final customer experience but not the third party sellers which are strategic partners , in the long run these third party sellers will join Shopify once they learn how to gain traffic to their stores and after that they can literally sell those stores and data for profit that is what my consulting firm does. I represent a client that offers those services.

I think Square will eventually be a true competitor to Shopify.

Square has Cash App, Payment Processing, and a Shopify equivalent
