I got a verbal offer from an employer about 1 week ago. I mentioned on the call about requiring to have H1B visa transfer filed before joining. The recruiter mentioned he’s not aware of the visa process and he’ll come back. We had spoken about requiring H1B in the first round itself and no concerns were raised then.
Following day, the recruiter emailed me saying let’s pause on discussing further until he finds out about how long the H-1B visa transfer process takes. It’s been a week and he is still trying to get the information. It’s a multi-billion dollar company who has done several H1B’s over the years (as per publicly available information).
I wanted advise on how I should handle this situation. Is it advised to directly reach out to the hiring manager and telling him the situation? As it seems to me a case of incompetence from the recruiter, unless there is something else which they are not telling me.

Also see if you can get an employee to ping the recruiter. I wouldn't email the HM yet.
