I am based in London and I keep seeing high salary figures for those based in Bay Area. For example, there was a recent M1 FB offer post talking about 500k+ TC per year apart from sign on bonus. And I have also seen people being paid millions. I am wondering now
(1)what % of those 7+Million Bay Area population get such figures.
(2) How salary is decided and on what basis as even lesser experienced people get a bountiful salary (Premium institute candidates get more?)
(3) salary ranges and number of people getting it?
Starting with mine
Age: 36
Yoe: 15
TC: 150k £ (considered very high salary here and we have 45% tax as I progress beyond 150k)
