I’m a mechE turned product manager and finding it hard to be value add. My job mostly revolves around internal dashboards which is interesting to me, but compared to my old job. I feel like I’m not really pulling my weight or being value add. Can any other product managers tell me what makes them fulfilled in the work setting and how I can get there?

    Depends what fulfills you generally and what is preventing that fulfillment. Give us more information. If you don’t see opportunity in the product, move to a product that you see white space. If you are unfulfilled because are taking orders, set the strategy instead and make others come to you when they want something. If things move too slowly, build processes to move faster.
