I have a phone interview coming up and I am reaching out to current Intuit employees and others who have been through the process because the recruiter I am working with has been completely unresponsive. What is the format of the interview and what can be expected for a front end engineering role? typical Leetcode style questions or actual domain subject matter? etc. Any information in the right direction is greatly appreciated.
Thank you.

The pay and benefits could be better. But the interviews are tough. I attended it around 2 months ago and I was asked to design a full stack application by using whatever front end, backend and database tools I need. So make sure that before you attend the interview you have a basic UI project up and running

Right. I do agree that some people are willing to sacrifice WLB for a bit more challenging opportunity and a bit more pay. Even I would do the same depending on the situation... But Intuit isn't half bad when compared to the previous companies that I've worked for ...

They asked you to design a full stack application for a one hour phone interview? Or are you talking about the onsite interview?

Update : Thank you for all your input.

My phone interview went well, did not have any front end specific problem solving questions. Just a standard DS/Algos problem. Very pleasant interviewer who spent quite a bit of time on my background.

Depends on what part of Intuit but knowing React is good

Intuit has rigorous interviews but the numbers offered aren’t that competitive anymore

Which location OP? That makes a difference on the content/format.

I can only speak for Plano, but most likely you’ll need to have a good understanding of React and it’s lifecycle and subsequent component lifecycle methods, as well as asynchronous behavior (ie promises/async-await/callbacks/function generators), an understanding of react-redux and the middleware options (thunks are good, sagas are better, at least for Plano). The previous content will probably be more Q&A format. You might get a leetcode style challenge, to be solved in the format on a whiteboard. This is all for contractors... if you’re going for FullTime then the interview is a little more involved.

This is for a full time opportunity, thank you for the post. I don't have react experience, and the recruiter knew that because they have my resume. Hopefully they focus on vanilla JS, HTML 5 and css 🤔

How do you have an interview if the recruiter is unresponsive?
