I am a female 9-year Amazonian (L6 SDE) who joined Amazon as an entry-level engineer and grew to L6. Since I have always been at Amazon, I haven't seen significant raises in compensation. I currently make a total compensation of around $320k per year thanks to the recent company-wide revision of base salaries.. I would like to understand how this compensation compares to L6 SDEs who join Amazon from other companies. How much does Amazon offer to L6 SDE hires ? Additionally, I have heard from my male peers that I am being heavily underpaid for my level. I have been considering jumping ships for a while now but I would like to get a good picture of what to expect given the current market situation.
