Interviewing in the US for controllership/head of finance jobs in the CFO vertical at SVP/MD/division CFO levels (depending on bank’s nomenclature).
Best offer I have so far is 250k base with discretionary bonus (so 15%?) and 50k paper money for a division CFO. Is this reasonable or should be doing better with YOE/background?
Or maybe make a move to fintech?
TC: $250
YOE:14

Is that your TC now as well? Are you looking at regionals/sub regionals or large community banks?
Controller roles in particular I have seen go from 200k to 350k base with bonus ranging from 10% to 100% with equity being zero or ~1yr TC - same with sign on bonus...
Where are the 350k roles? the headhunters I am speaking with are telling me to keep my hopes at 250, def below 300. And low bonuses too. Maybe I am not talking to the right people. Any headhunters you recommend?
250 would be solid base but I'd also expect 20% - 30% bonus with an equity sweetener up front.
DM me and I'm happy to connect you with someone that may help.
