Hi Everyone,
I have an offer from Swiggy for a Sr Principal role and Zeta for a Principal II role.
Compensation at both companies is fairly similar considering the stage of companies. Could someone from these companies help me make a decision?
How is the wlb balance?
How much impact can someone at those roles have?
How to value their equity? Given swiggy is closer to a liquidation event, does it make sense to join now that they are already around 6B valuation.
Compensation:
Swiggy: Cash of around 1.3cr, equity of 1cr over 4 years.
Zeta: Cash of around 1.3cr, equity of around 65 Lakh over 4 years.
Update:
I am currently in USA and planning to move to India. Have 9 years of experience here and about 3 years in India before my masters.

Try finding out what the buy-back strategies for each are considering the case where they don't IPO in your tenure there.
Zomato and Swiggy both are bloated in terms of valuation at the moment.
On wlb spoke with one of my ex-colleague and it seems to be good in zeta. As per him he work 10 to 6-7 , non night calls. Swiggy wlb definitely will be an issue
Is there any swiggy/zeta employees here who would be willing to chat 1:1?
Last year zeta was certified as a great place to work.
Every Friday we are following no meetings day till now.
In the month of May-June, we had 6 working hours.
We have got free Udemy business plans to watch anything and learn.
Overall it all depends on how much work you can do with proper WLB . We don't follow the peer comparison thing too. You will be evaluated based on your performance.
You can opt for refreshers for 2 weeks every quarter to build anything on your own or with the help of a team.
Recently the company has gone above par to take care of the employees related to covid and also changed policies for the benefit of employees.
There are many things that I can't mention here otherwise it might become a blog:p
Nothing yet. I would assume they will do it if I accept the offer.
Congratulations and Good Luck
Companies like amazon uber may pay you slightly higher.
Not sure about Amazon.
