    Does a company need to be innovative to make money?
    Google makes money off ads. Is adding more ads to Youtube videos considered innovative?

    Look at companies like Coca Cola. You really don't need innovation if you have a product everyone uses regardless.

    It is but I think evey big company is also equally innovative. A decade ago, Google was the only one doing planet scale data management. A 10 person startup is doing that these days.
