I'm making 200k. Couldn't be happier with the team, wlb, work, culture. Super friendly and fun people. Learning at my pace without being forced to learn/get promoted faster. I have hobbies outside work that I have time for, and get to wfh fairly often when I need it. The only thing that bothers me is I'm leaving money on the table. I could easily make atleast 250k with 4yoe. Is it worth it to jump ship for 60k more? It's a very personal decision so I'm not sure what I'm looking for here but I'd like to hear your opinions.
Yes
Definitely not worth it.
A 30% raise is nontrivial. How do you like the new potential team? What would you be working on? Is the brand of the company equal to or greater than Microsoft?
Personally, I’d kill to have your life. (Not literally, but you get it) I think you needed to hear that.
200k where OP is equals solid middle class. Not upper middle class, just middle class.
200k is solid upper middle class.
Money alone won’t make you happy. If everything else is good, focus on being a better engineer and leader. It’s really hard to find great teams.
Money doesn't make you happy but it makes it easier to be happy.
Sounds like OP is already happy.
It is personal, as you named several variables you can't control in a new environment. If you leave on good terms and figure out more money wasn't worth it, reach back out to your manager to see if they'll take you back.
Stay, it can be soooooo much worse out there. You sound like you have a fairytale job, keep it. You can always ask for more money if you think you deserve it and perform.
What level are you? Started out at MS as an Industry or college hire?
Stay, the risk is not worth it

Nope, not worth it.
Not enough info for you to say that definitively. It could be foolish to move, but if they like the team as much and the work is as challenging it could be great
The job situation described by op sounds like dream job profile. 200k for 4yoe is pretty good tc. The risk of stepping on a land mine is very high. It's definitely not worth it for the tc. For some other factors, may be.
