$38 per hour for Qualcomm for a Software Engineering intern position, with housing provided. Would this be considered a good pay for San Diego?
https://www.levels.fyi/internships/ Just $5 / hour shy of Google
Its good, but do you have any other intern offer?
I’m currently waiting for two others. But they are in very different locations in Europe.
I see, 38 is good for SD
SD is beautiful. Enjoy the experience and go visit all SD has to offer. Congrats!
Thank you!
It’s a good offer. If you ask them to round it to $40/hr, they might consider it.
Good call. Will give it a shot
Sorry but intern offers are not negotiable. You can try but the request will be disregarded
It is good. More than what I make as a Full time employee now tbh
Bro I was making less as a contractor full time in SD. You can easily live on 38/hour. I now make a lot more but that's for another day
It’s an internship. Don’t focus on the salary. Focus on the experience you’ll get so you can get high comp out of college.
Thanks. I’ll be moving to the US for this so it’s one of the deciding factors. Would the salary be enough for SD after paying taxes, etc?
You’re moving to the US for the summer, then back to your school thereafter? It’s plenty of money to pay for food, and your rent is free. (You really didn’t need Blind to answer that.)
