      At Intel "old folks" is anyone > 40. Intel has a history of ageism and doesn't try to hide it. You may have heard the phrase "the half life of an engineer is 5 years" which was boasted by a former Intel exec in an interview. If you take a look at all the Intel mass layoffs and followup lawsuits, which Intel lost, the graphs clearly show ageism in ACT and other catchy RIF names. It's also an open secret that they will layoff older people right before they retire and try to cash in their benefits they worked decades to earn. Many of the younger people on Blind will not have a longer term history and perspective on this company.

      That’s bad, Intel offered me a full time after interning for two semesters and the offer was low ball. When i asked them to match it with Nvidia offer but the Intel HR didn’t budge. Now am happy with taking the Nvidia offer.

      They stayed silent two days for me, when I pushed expiration of the other offer they gave another low ball(but somewhat improved) to me. Might be different for software, this is for another semi company HW offer. I think the fact that I pushed them forced another low ball.

    A lot is still in the air. But there is 1B$ allocated for compensation.

    And g3-g7 people count was mentioned in the slides. If someone can help with NA g3-g7 count then it should help to estimate the $$ for g3-g7 in NA. Other geos will also benefit but I assume bulk will go to high cost geo (US / EU)
