#Hi,
I'm currently at a small software company and comfortable, but I want to move up and learn newer things and earn a higher TC. It's not going to happen at my current place of employment, but I recently interviewed and received an offer from MSFT for a remote contract position through a recruiter.
The MSFT contract position is only for 4 months, but originally when I applied it was listed for 6 months. I've spoken with the recruiter and she said that the position has funding for 4 months, but may be extended, as well as once I am placed there, she would be able to find me similar level work elsewhere as the final month on my contract approaches.
Anyone with experience with this sort of situation and have any bit of advice, I'd really appreciate it. Is it worth moving for the slightly higher TC and name or just staying and looking for other opportunities. I have enough savings to last me a year. Thanks in advance!
(YOE: 2.5)
Current TC: 105k with benefits (Full Stack)
MSFT Contract TC: 125 without benefits. (SDE 2)
