    It's typical Elon making minor shifts sound like titanic actions. Dude's more of a marketer at heart than an engineer.

      He has ok engineering instincts. His companies would have been better off if he trusted his lead engineers' instincts over his own. He does spend a good amount of time with engineers, and that's one of the things that keeps him tethered to reality.
