I have an offer from Facebook and wondering if it's a sensible choice to move to cali from NYC or take up jobs in other locations?

Also blind is disconnected from reality and are very poor about managing money. Most fangs will pay above 250k on the lower end. That’s more than enough for a single person and doable for a family as well. The only thing that costs a lot here is housing and the rents isn’t significantly more than any other metro in the us. Compared to nyc it’s a wash.
Most people don’t come here to buy a house right away. They come here to grow their income which the area offers more than anywhere else
If you work in tech. There are countless stories of people getting faang or comparable job making 200k and in 5 years their comp is 500k if not more. Happens all the time and then housing options open up. If you don’t like it in a year or two go remote.
