Hey blind,##
I’m interviewing for AWS ProServ DoD as I’m currently a gov contractor. I figure I’d take a move to a big name brand vs a sub for Accenture, and make a lateral move over to another team (eventually). I haven’t read too many amazing things about WLB but I’m willing to chalk it up for a couple of years for long-term marketability. This is most likely for an L5 position.
I wanted to get some insight on how things run on the DoD side. I get it’s short term projects, which I’m okay with. Is WLB that bad vs private sector work? How much travel is expected in 2022/2023? Are the technologies outdated vs the newest stuff (k8s, iaac, gitops, etc.)?
Current TC: 120K
