Hi Blinders. I have been grinding leetcode every single day since April. Hit 400 solved this weekend. I can send my profile + resume on request. I have some solid industry experience with 2yoe. Went to a good school. Feel free to DM me. No SQ? Must hate money. 😂
Does solving leetcode actually mean anything to interviewers? I just looked through the problems and it doesn’t look like a good use of time to solve these.
No but it helps pass the interviews.
Apparently being awesome on leetcode is the only requirement these days.
I’m grinding leetcode as well. Any tips to finish more in lesser time or a better way to go about the whole process? Did u just do leetcode other than work , eat and sleep ?
Yes all I have done is eat sleep work LC the past 5 months. Literally. No TV shows. No video games. No movies. No partying or going out. No smoking weed. Nothing. Just LC. Some tips: -Don't treat LC as some nasty medicine. Treat it as something that will help you improve and grow. A lot of it comes down to mindset -Look at solutions after 25 mins if you still cannot solve. I have spent hours and hours thinking about single problems in the past without peeking and its never once been a productive use of time. If i cant get it in 20 or 30 mins, thinking about it for 4 hours has never yielded a solution not once. -if you have to look at the solution, write down the problem number in a notepad and make an effort to revisit after a week. I wish I had done this more because there are problems that I solved 16 weeks ago that I don't remember too well. I could be at 500+ now but this last month I have mostly focused on revisiting old problems and doing hards. Revisiting old problems is important -dont bother with hards that are not common and tagged. It takes many many many months or years to be able to nail new hards unless you are gifted. If you get crazy hards that no one has seen in an interview I would chalk it up to bad luck and brush it off. Most of the people solving hards in interviews either have years of practice or have seen them before. Most hards in interviews are the common ones. Hope this helps. Just keep grinding don't stop. Tbh if I can't get into my top choices this time, I'm gonna grind another year. Maybe if I get to where I want I'll make a full post with tips and reflections and flesh this out more :)
I admire your dedication. You should get an offer at any place you want just for that :).
Where do you actually want to go out of these? It’s not that productive to interview at every company, it’s better to pick a few top choice ones and a few to practice with. And a couple that give really high offers for negotiation.
I didn't put any companies up there that I wouldn't actually want to work for. Idk why you think it isn't productive to do as many interviews as possible. I have already done many interviews and still I learn something new from every single one. In fact I can't recall a single interview that I walked out of without having at least learned something or identified an area of improvement for myself. Each interview is at worst a very realistic free mock interview and at best an offer you can negotiate with or potentially take. I also have made many connections with recruiters and engineers through interviewing which have been very valuable. Besides what else would I be doing? Just more leetcode anyways.
What is someone’s incentive to refer you when you most likely won’t accept the offer and they don’t already know you personally?
Why are u leaving oath Mann 😝😝
Sinking ship
Why leaving oath?
Leetcode is a necessary condition. Not a sufficient one. I would not hire anyone just because he did leetcode.
I can refer you at LinkedIn. PM me
Thank you, sent a pm.
Can you help me out as well?
