Hello, I have 401k from my old employer (used to be fidelity managed) and new employer also is with fidelity. My question is if I rollover to my new 401k account within fidelity is there any extra fee associated with it? Is there anytime limit where rollover needs to be done in that time period after leaving old employer? Does it also affect in terms of extra taxes I'll have to pay if I rollover accounts? Any suggestions on rollover will be appreciated. Thanks in advance!
Rollover are always free. Never heard fidelity charging anything. I rolled from fidelity 401k to fidelity IRA. Was straight forward. You pay taxes if you convert to Roth. None otherwise.
Ok thanks! Is there anytime limit where rollover needs to be done in that time period after leaving old employer?
I am assuming you tried really hard and you couldn’t find Fidelity 401K customer service, here it is: 1-800-835-5097. *sarcasm*
Haha just tried calling them few minutes back, they're off until Tuesday, rollovers are handled by diff department and time zone sucks, blind rocks
Fidelity consolidated my 401k even when working across two different companies simultaneously.

If youre doing a employer-sponsored 401k to another employer-sponsored 401k, there should be no transfer fees and no tax implications
