How much money you have saved in your 401K account and in how many years? $81K. 12 years. Didn’t invest in 401K for 6/7 years in between these 12 years. I know it was dumb but now I have learned.
Same story as you
100k in 3 years. Donated 12k pretax every year. Microsoft matched 6k every year. Invested everything in S&P.
50k in 5.5 years.
12 years, $138,000
~55k in two years.
140k in 6yrs
170k in four years. It went down from it's peak of 188k in late September.
100k in 7.5 years. 10% including match. Plus another $200k+ in IRA's from several previous employers from the previous 11 years.
How do you get that much in IRAs with the 5.5k max? Is it mostly growth? Edit: actually based on the last part of your post I'm assuming it was through rollovers from 401(k)s.
Rolled over 401k's from previous employers for most of it. Some is Roth IRA's. A little is in my wife's name from a couple really good years.
$50k in 10 months
How did you do that ?
After tax 401k contributions.
