As a reference point, I didn't get asked either. Recruiter just said this is around what you can expect, and asked me if I was generally ok with that. I later negotiated up (only on equity and a signing bonus). Agree 100% with splitgoog on his/her analysis.

    • Thanks again for all the info. This has been such a helpful discussion at least for me. It’s not common to find salary or interview info for in house jobs.

I wish all recruiters would approach it the same way - here’s the comp, is that ok with you? The typical way recruiters ask for a comp range is just so silly

Wide salary ranges depending on what level you’re interviewing at, but 6 YOE would probably get you somewhere around 160-200k salary, 10–15% bonus and 80-120k in RSUs over 4 years. They’re also doing signing bonuses which range widely depending on how much they want you. You can get additional RSUs on a yearly basis depending on performance, too.

I have 10+ YOE and my TC will be 400k in 2022 without knowing additional RSU grants.

Don’t expect engineering #s for RSUs.

Def Google. It’s been a dream of a job so far. Been there 3.5 years. Compensation is way above market and WLB is strongly skewed to L.

While those are cool companies, outside of Twitter the rest are private so not sure how that offers great comp. The grants at least one of those places isnt that rich from what' I've been told.
