I’ve found something good of most varieties. Honestly for a city of its size I’d argue it punches way above its weight. It’s not NYC or LA but the metro area is only 2 million. It’s tons better than Denver or Austin (unless you want BBQ or Mexican). The tacos here are disappointing. But I’ve found good Ethiopian and Greek, classy Italian, Nepalese, northern and southern Indian. Obviously good sushi and seafood.
I’ve found many great cocktail bars, live music scene is great.
Summers are gorgeous though.
I hadn’t realized the impact of sun. even if you are not actually actively outside sunny weather is a mood booster.
Also, because it is further north it gets darker much earlier here
I hate driving, LA is car hell haha.
