I’ve thought about extending previous but then as some people are mentioning.. won’t that come up in employment verifications during the background check?
It can be a small adjustment. For ex: I started working from Feb 2nd. I can mention it to be Jan 31st and give a bullshit reason I had already started onboarding with them. So to the eyes, it looks 6 months when it really isn't.
Although I agree that it may be a red flag but small deltas like this shouldn't matter for someone inspecting it this closely.
It's better to show that 3 months in resume than to show employment gap. Indian recruiters are obsessed with reasons for employment gaps. Then don't understand taking a break or cutting self some slack.
So yeah I have 3 months stint in my resume and in LinkedIn
It would be terribly , and needlessly, distracting to mention it in the resume and then answer questions on it. Unless you want to make a point, best not to direct attention to a short stint that does not add to your progression
I had such a job.. for couple of years.. I didn’t put that position on my LinkedIn.. but after that .. I added that position because by that time it didn’t mattered.. but I always put all the positions on my resume.
