I’m a SWE right now and want to make a change. I’ve been looking into moving into the crypto and blockchain space. Both of these companies are hiring right now, but not how long they’ll stick around. Has anyone worked at or used these companies products? #blockchain #bitcoin #crypto
If you want to work in the real crypto space, look at defi companies like Compound, Dydx, and Uniswap. Blockfi as a service is cool too but you won’t learn about how crypto actually works by working there. You’ll likely work on only crypto custody related stuff which I wouldn’t find as exciting.
I'm guessing I'm too late to help OP, but in case anyone has this same question: avoid Bakkt. I've been there just over a year and it is absolutely the worst place I have ever worked. Priorities change daily. Product contradicts one another. Was hoping the new CEO would help steer us in the right direction, but all he does is talk about how we look in different social media platforms. They didn't pay out any bonuses this year, despite having 500 million in the bank. As a fintech company, bonuses are a big part of our salary. I stayed on for a while for the stock options. But now that there is no longer a toilet paper shortage, I guess I don't really need them.
Did you work there as an engineer? Is this the same for every department?
Don't join Bakkt as it is a sinking ship if ICE stops funding them..
I use block fi it's pretty sweet 6% apr on my crypto stash
Isn't it limited to 2 BTC or something like that?
