    Uhh, after you update your os it has to reindex spotlight and do a bunch of other housekeeping. It usually subsided after a day or two. Also there are usually some performance issues / bugs with the initial OS release which is why I usually recommend friends wait until the X.1 release to update.

    I really really don't believe this. I think it's more that the newer hardware is faster and they don't put nearly as much resources into optimizing for the old hardware. Nobody does it on purpose. They still sell old iPhones and low end iPhones.

    I think Congress should pass a law saying users should not be forced to updates their phones, apple basically forces this by disallowing app downloads if you are on the older os.

    This is very bs for the environment, so much toxic stuff in the motherboard of the phones.

    The problem is the designer prioritize beauty and visual effect over performances or latency, so older phones get slower and slower.
