Does Apple steal away "good" employees from Intel?

I joined Intel recently as a package design engineer. I naturally updated my LinkedIn profile in a few days and then forgot about it. Opened it after a month to see a message from an Apple Recruiter. I did not respond to it because I thought if all goes well, how could I jump companies within a month or two of joining Intel. It's very unethical. In hindsight, now I believe I should have tried.

Why unethical? Do you think Intel or any other company really care about you and would not fire you in a heartbeat if they had to? Be a mercenary. There is no loyalty in this business, only respect.

It will get easier, you need to look at where you want to be and plot a path to that point. SM is correct about loyalty however you do want the respect which can pay off latter.

Always be looking. You don't have to jump but always know your market value. Talk to them.

If you have Apple in your resume, you'll get every interview you want for the next 10 yrs. And they'll always ask what it was like working there. Intel? Not so much.

Yes. Intel has been bleeding the best to Apple for several years, hardware and software. The pay is at least double - that's why.

It is ethical as long as you don't leak trade secrets.

Thank you all for comments and suggestions. Will reach out to the recruiter who contacted me. It's been almost 3 months since he contacted. I am not sure if he will even respond, but am gonna give it a shot. I will update how it goes.
