Really itching for a new company, how’s Google’s is professional development, is it actually encouraged?

Are there plenty of Employee networks or resource groups? Whether educational, minority, or etc…. I hear quite a bit of discrimination from Google, should I still consider?

How’s googles PTO?

Discrimination is non-existent afaik. Lots of supporting tools exist both educational & non-educational. People are really nice and bond pretty well with each other. For example our team goes for a drink every Friday after work. Professional development is good that you can learn a lot in giant scale. Only downside is that promo is not that easy and people tend to coast because of that. You actually need to try hard and work with your manager to get promoted.

  • Just switched from Accenture. I liked Accenture but Google is better in every way, my friend. Pay, benefits, stock, team, products even culture. Take the leap!

  • Google has the best wlb after Salesforce and Microsoft. Plenty of support and minority groups and networks. You can find all kind of opportunities at Google if you look hard enough - work, slack, rest and vest, sweatshop…

Professional development is great, a lot to learn from/whom. It is indeed encouraged. But promotions are, frankly, not easy.
There are a lot of minority resource groups where googlers mentor other googlers. I did not yet face discrimination and my org is very diverse (I won't expand which org)

PTO is standard, I suppose. You are encouraged to use it. Didn't see any difference to other companies I worked for.
