I got a verbal offer from Big Switch Networks with a split:-
Background- Masters degree
Position- Software Engineer
Base-105k , 5k relocation and 8k stock options
Location- santa clara, CA
Work ex- 1 year as an intern and part time at Nokia
2 years in India
How should I negotiate? The manager says it’s a good offer and since it’s not that big of a company 130k is very difficult.
Now, I am not sure if that’s the strategy to negotiate or it’s really a thing.
Would really appreciate if someone can help?

I started in the bay with a similar offer (100k base, 25k options) and it was not sustainable. If you have nothing else though, take it and stay for a year or so and then find a better job.
In terms of negotiation, if they don't budge on base shoot for a signing bonus. Also 8k stock is really low. It's the lowest I've ever heard. I'm sure they can do better with the options if nothing else.
In a similar situation I took the offer and switched jobs less than a year later. Can't really tell if it was the best move or not but my startup was a series A funded startup so the shit offer was a bit more expected.
