My end goal is to become a software engineer. In the meantime and while in college I wanted to do cloud architecture. So I muscled up and managed to pass the AWS Solutions Architect- Associate Certification. I start college beginning of 2022 and I was hoping to get a remote cloud job before that point, but no company will hire a 18 year old with no experience and just a certification. What’s my next step in order to get a job as a cloud architect?
Maybe it’s just me thinking out of my head, but wouldn’t a 18-year-old with a AWS Certification stand out a bit?

If you want to be a SWE then focus hard on learning how to code and worry about cloud later. Generally you become an architect after you’ve been an engineer for a few years minimum (don’t trust anyone in an architecture role who has never programmed before). What do your programming skills look like?
