If they are stuck in India, where are they supposed to be?

I think india is handling it much better and your parents are safe. Arrange for them to have everything delivered home . I am in india and from where I stand conditions in usa look grim.

US healthcare is the worst. High costs and you won’t ever get an appointment with a top doctor from Stanford etc. You are limited to seeing a doctor who graduated from some State University and rely on reviews from Yelp. In India you can see a top doctor for fraction of the cost at a top hospital.

OP.. probably you don’t have to worry much. The way India has handled this situation is much better than worlds biggest economy or super power. Things may get worse in India but with strong action taken in last few days may avert these crisis from becoming havoc.

Whoever says India is handling it better, we all wish so but could you please hold your horses as India is hardly in 3rd week from patient zero.
    Wish you all the best

Just wait, too early for the country of population 1.3 billion to compare with country of population 300+ millions.

    • Everything is under lockdown in India and severely enforced by police, and yes even public transportation is under lockdown. There are no trains running , there are no buses on the road.
They are even considering halting all domestic flights

OP, you are an idiot. Why would you bring your parents here in US and put their life in danger in a foreign country with no easy access to healthcare? If anyone is stuck, it’s YOU and not them. Also, don’t leave your parents alone if you care about them so much but now is not a good time for either of you to travel BUT if someone has to travel, it should be YOU and not them. You’re disillusioned about better healthcare available in US. You have access to much better healthcare in India. A tier-3 city in India has better and more experienced doctors than Kaiser equivalents of US. And with your income, you have access to doctors from tier-1 cities.
