This is true, though I think the only reason it would change is if there’s a change at a higher level OLR.
I’ve seen comp changes (only up) because of excess stock at higher levels which they will disperse strategically (ie all people with X rating in Y job code).

No change in pay UNLESS:
1. You get promoted OR
2. You do role change in higher pay band.
In either case, HR will ONLY ensure entry band pay parity.
