Have offers from DataDog L4, Apple L4 and Google for L3. Not considering Apple due to WLB,+culture. Leaning towards taking DataDog L4 unless Google can give me either L4 or L3 and match pay since it feels like a low-ball from G.
Some concerns I have is I'm on a H1-B visa with I-140 approved from a backlogged country (India). So a big company like Google will offer massive flexibility here in case any issues do arise like moving me to another country or if I want to go back to India or say I get stuck in India due to whatever reason.
Also I guess, the brand value of Google would come in handy if I end up outside US where DataDog/Bloomberg might be unheard of.
So considering all this would it be a better idea in long term to go for Google?
Yoe: 4.5, TC: 200
#visa #h1b #i140 #backlog
Update: for those asking TC. I haven't talked actual numbers yet with either since team matching at both places. But from what I've heard DDog starts around 260k for L4.
The Apple one I do have numbers and is ~265k recurring and 45k sign on.
Google would depend on if I get L3/L4 I guess plus their willingness to match.
Update: ended up getting an FB E4 offer and going with that for which numbers are 177k base, 400/4 stocks, 75k sign on, 10% bonus
Update: just wanted to add some findings I had regarding DataDog. They do green card processing only on a case by case basis and have heard of cases where even 3 year old employees didn't get their GC processing started 1.5 years after getting the H1-B and company makes excuses. So doesn't sound good at all.

DataDog is public and relatively big now, not really a startup.
Decision should be based on the team.
For visa, do not choose Datadog. They do not want to do green card as well.
Second, great job with the personal attacks. You feel better about yourself now? Woohoo!
60k diff shouldn't be the decision maker unlike job security and branding. You will probably make it back easily in a few years.
