Defeating Selectivity, Population control and UBI
It’s unlikely MIT, Stanford, Harvard, etc will be defeated because of the pandemic but it may make a dent.
Defeating the Ivys and other reputable institutes will require a broad social redistribution, one that has been kicked off but it will yield a new master, some certifying authority that everyone will want to appease.
Defeating FAANG is easier, you target their revenue stream which will in turn cause them to lose talent. This is also happening, I just hope we can keep the good parts of Facebook tech (WhatsApp, Messenger, Instagram and maybe Oculus).
Same for Google, their search and YouTube. Ok fine gmail too. Ok and Android.
This still doesn’t add up. We need to reduce world population so that selectivity is really impacted. If we give everyone UBI and price things so everyone can have them things would be great.
Then we can solve real problems for humans.
I know this sounds a lot like Soc/Comm but wouldn’t it be a better world? Or would we really not compete and stagnate?

I guess it's a bailout for the low incone class. If they can bailout companies so they don't go bankrupt, maybe they can bail out the low income class.
Let's bail out everyone with newly printed money and devalue the US dollar
