Recently met a guy on the train who said they were from Salesforce. We had a nice chat and he gave me his contact info to get in touch about visiting the Salesforce office and a referral.
But the email he gave me had a very generic name on it which was suspicious, and when I tried to contact him it turns out the email wasn't real. Tried searching his name on LinkedIn, Facebook, but nothing came up.
So needless to say, I'm pretty sad. Thought I had a road into Salesforce but it turned out to be a dead end.
I don't get why people would lie about working for a company and giving false hope to randos on a train.
-_-
