Hey all,

I have a interview for DoorDash in their S&O team. Cleared the take home presentation and received good feedback and they said there’s two rounds left - both of which have three sets of 30min interviews.

Heard they are quite values based with some brain teasers thrown in. Does anyone have any experience or tips they could share?

I am making the move from Consulting within a Customer Strategy/Ops role.#startup #doordash

Thank you

  • Not sure about S&O specifically, but I’ve never heard of anybody asking brain teasers here. Values for sure, and come up with behavioral questions that you think you might get based on those

    • Ah, yes. Agree. But @OP there’s none of this “how many windows are in NYC” garbage as far as I know

Okay that is good to know hahaha, the market sizing ones can be a pain sometimes. What would be the best to say to prep for the brain teasers / case style questions? For example @sacklodge, I’d have trouble thinking of an answer on the spot to your question and would need to prep beforehand

OP how did your interviews go? Did you make it to an offer?

  • Hopefully you have some solid context about the role from your phone screen, job req, take home, etc.. Use that to come up with a list of case questions that you may get asked. These aren’t consulting style but more like brainstorming sessions.

For the values stuff same thing - read our values and think about the kind of questions they could ask to see if you fit our values.

S&O interviews aren’t easy but if you’re prepared they are fun.

Awesome thank you - I think I am okay for the behavioural side of the interview. It’s the case style questions that has me concerned at the moment. What would be the best way to prep?
