I know every company has its pros and cons but down the line we have created a stereotype about companies
Few of them are
Amazon - shitty work culture. PIP life
Google - A good overall package but not faced pace
Facebook - high TC with unethical work
Microsoft - peanut TC with wlb
TikTok - 996 culture
Please comment other stereotype that blind has created.
Blind tax - 190K

For those that don't know
Facebook and Stripe both have forced stack ranking or curve fitting whatever you may call it.
And about 10-15% is forcefully given bottom rating (FB's MM).
2 back to back MM ratings and you are pipped. there might be no explicit pip quota but there is a system in place that forces a certain percentage people out every year.
Stripe - Great TC but bad WLB
Databricks and Datadog - Blue chip unicorns
GitHub I don’t see having a strong stereotype TBH on Blind
A lot of leadership and org changes with MSFT influence seeping recently in which has soured it a bit but enjoy the work and culture is still good IMO
WLB is good and it’s a service I like a lot
That's why people think they cracked Google but start ranting because it's a downelevel.
Also Google's initial offer is an insult. But with competing offers they pay appropriately.
They are letting this “prestige” bullshit go to their head.
I hope they realize it soon and straighten up their game.
