There is no fundamental reason for it to go up after a split but stocks typically do... it signals to market that management belives the stock has gotten "expensive" and they expect it to get more expensive, so they split it to make it more "affordable". It is viewed as positive news and then people buy up the stock and then it goes up. Somewhat self reinforcing.
Amzn all hands Q&A is scripted (pre-selected) afaik. I heard last all-hands they asked Andy's favorite book or TV show, like LMFAO they not even putting effort to mask this.
