I have an offer for Product Management at Pivotal and I wanted to know more about what it is like to be working as a Product Manager at the company.
Are you in Labs or working on Tanzu?
labs is in Tanzu. Isn’t it?
Well, technically but they’re totally different kinds of work.
One day it will end up it VMware Serivces if it doesn’t get killed before that!
Company is toxic as fuck. Highly recommend you consider working anywhere else, maybe even McD drive thru if they're hiring
Is this how pivotal was or you say this as VMware? Or both are pretty same? Do you see long term viability of Labs? Google has taken lots of ex pivotal and building new practices and so has redhat ( built a labs $
Pivotal is great. I hate vmware. I'm out soon. No idea on the future of labs, but the future of vmware is a joke.
Just saw few opening with VMware pivotal, can any one suggest about culture and pay?
Lmao run as far as you can. Culture and pay are way subpar
Thanks for letting me know
Pivotal labs is an acquisition. There will cuts in that org so might wanna stay away from the smoke or the fire will eventually get to you
Thanks
Kohls upper mgmt is full of Pivotal people.
That's pretty interesting. I didn't know that
Happened very recently with new CTO and SVP. All new hires at Kohls are coming from Pivotal. Even the person who was training people on their framework was hired as a VP.

What happens when most of your team is Indian?
pivotal labs will be like a consulting gig, pairing with clients. Lot of communication, good chance to learn/do best practices. I think it depends a lot on the offer and the job you would be leaving for it. current TC? what is the offered TC breakdown?
