For me itโ€™s Rust; enjoyed learning it last year. It makes a nice change from my normal stack of Ruby, Java, and C#

@btcfemboy- am a Java developer and for a time being had to work on a Project for another team which was on Go, find ur quite similar with Java. As it's bit modern and concurrency supported , thought it will be good to learn this.

    • if you are into systems then you would end up working on Rust in future. Basically people have burnt their hands at both - managing memory on their own and letting system manage memory for them. Rust provides a good alternative to that which can free up lot of dev time previously being spent on fixing/debugging/reviewing PRs/coding for mem leaks, long GC pauses, memory corruption etc. Then it also provides compile time check for concurrency issues which are other set of pain points in system development which is mostly multithreaded with multi-core hardwares nowadays. All this safety and still retaining perf similar to C is what makes it desirable for certain domains like systems development.

I love rust, but I still can't double linked list or graph with it without library, lifetime and borrowchecker is hard , probably need to spend a afternoon or two relearn arc and smart pointer and figure out what am I missing lol .
