Hi Blind 👀
I'm choosing between a few offers for next summer. These are the three top choices I have on hand (I may have more later but Coinbase gave me an exploding offer so I want to make sure I don't want them). If it matters, I'm in the process with Asana, Microsoft, Snap, Twitter, Google (awaiting return offer) and a few others. I have no idea where I'm leaning.
I'm on an f1 visa, I want dough💰, to possibly return FT and to do some interesting work.
Comp is around the same $46 - $53, and not a huge factor for the internship, but is for FT (I've checked out levels. Doordash seems lower than the others).
Edit: Go ahead and add a reason for choosing one over the other. It'll help me a lot 😊
TC: $0

Bottom line if you believe the company will grow itll all even out pretty much. This has been true for much of the past but as the company gets bigger, the stock growth slows but the grants also get bigger so again, it’s a fair deal. It’s not to your advantage, it’s just fair.
With regards to the internship, I can’t imagine it getting better. Imagine 70 interns all housed in one NYC dorm in the middle of nyc. We also had plenty of drinking events and activities throughout the summer. I also think the projects were decently impactful as teams genuinely try and give u projects that would be useful to them. Like they could definitely be bigger and push u harder but mongo seems to really care about wlb in general. We’re at that scale now that we don’t have to be grinding for hours everyday and atleast from my perspective they care more about the intents interns have like willingness to learn, etc rather than their raw skills. Basically, unless u fuck up, it’s pretty easy to get a return offer.
