A door dahser was yelling in front of the house using offensive language for not paying him more than 5$ tip. I didnt not come out and respond to it as he was out of control
if you think it's low tip just don't do the ride.
I always feel people are getting mad in USA, if they don't get more than 10% or so. I can pay more tip of i like the service just don't like it if some one is forcing it on me.
It's just not acceptable behavior.
What's the tip expectation in USA?
It seems like tip is mandatory thing that too got to be afleast 5$ or 20% in USA
Update: The purpose of this post is to know if i don't know about something that is fair about tipping. So please hold off your comments of " if you don't like it , go back to your country."
If something s don't seem right , we have to think about rectifying it and not run away from it.

I will never tip 30%. I am not their employer and it's not my duty to make sure they have a living wage. Imagine if you had to tip your bus driver, or your mailman, your cashier, or your pharmacist. That would be so inefficient and unreasonable.
Employers should pay their employees a good wage, and set prices so that they can afford to do that. It makes no sense to put it on the customer and creates alot of unnecessary friction like OP experienced.
Its employer 's responsibility to make sure their full-time or contract employees to be financially good
Without dashers there is no door dash. Period.
Tip culture is sh*t, because of people like these the tip culture doesn't go away.
If everyone stops tipping, the structure will change and wages will increase, let the corporates pay and the price of items be adjusted accordingly.
What scam is this going on where a thing costs $10, you need a $10/mo Dashpass, then doordash adds additional fee, the app shows $13 already (30% up!) and then you are expected to tip too.
What stupidity! If you care so much about workers, make the price already $15 and consumers then can decide! It's absolute BS culture promoted by wannabe people.
