I am curious to know how internal transfer works in Abbvie. Do I let my manager know and apply?
I am interested in applying for Associate Director positions, while I am at a manager level. I see a few job openings that I fulfill the qualifications.

Telling me from personal experience.
Managers here really value the heads up but that can also work against you. If you're comfortable with them definitely let them know that you found a role and would like a referral prior to the interview. Meet with people that have worked in your target function informally and go into the interview with that background.
