I have few interviews lined up and got to know that my last to last company VP is my HM. This is for tier-1 company.
He will definitely recognize me as I had excellent rapport when I was working with her.
Here are few questions in my mind.
1. Does HM review and approve profile to start hiring process ? Or recruiter does that?
2.Should I contact him ahead of interview via Linkedin (just to refresh as its been almost 8-9 years)?
3.Can HM influence/overwrite hiring decision (example-consider avg performance in coding round but rest as expected )?
Just want to know pros and cons of such situations.
