I got an interview call for amazon (catalog team) for sde role. The recruiter mentioned that the sde level is based on my interview performance.

I have 13 years of experience and currently senior sde. What position should i be asking ? What comp should i be looking at ?

    It's been a long time since I've seen someone hired directly as SDE3. Am I wrong? I just don't see it as much.

      210 rsus. I haven’t interviewed much ever. I didn’t really prep aside from studying the 14 leadership principles. Code questions were easy. I’d just say to make sure you talk and ask questions while coding. I think they liked the fact that I was talking about multiple ways to solve the problem and what the pros and cons of each solution was. Oh and for the LPs, make sure you always say “I” and not “we”. They don’t like “we”.

    Sounds like they will probably interview for SDE3 with possibility of downlevel if you don’t pass raiser
