@checkcall: that's good to know. Is there a YOE limit for them to offer down-level from E5 to E4? I recently had a E5 with 3 rounds of coding, 1 SD, 1 Behavioral + LC Easy coding. Behavioral and SD was good but it's subjective, Out of the 6 coding questions asked, I believe I did well in 4 took no hints and got optimal answers, 1 took hints and got optimal answer, 1 got a suboptimal answer(O(n^2) where there was a O(n)) I may have done well enuf for E5 but not sure. So I'm wondering if they are going to make an E4 offer if my interview performance is not good enuf for E5 given that I have 12 YOE.
They matched me with a team and went to Hiring committee. They moved forward for VP to decide. Recruiter started comp negotiation but told you dont have an offer till VPs approve. Does anyone know what is happening?

G no, FB no if you interview E5 and get downleveled or if you’re a PhD new grad
