I've recently moved to the US from Europe and will be living in Salt Lake City for the next few years as my kids go through some athletics training. Can someone help me with a target TC range? Current TC in Amsterdam: 80k Euro
Amsterdam is wayyyy more expensive than SLC. In slc You can get a luxury apartment downtown for like 1600USD. Maybe up to 2k if you wanted extra space. Gas hovers between 2.50-3.50 a gallon, you’ll need a car to get around unless you live and work downtown. You can get a new Subaru for 30k, or about 300 a month with some money down. Ymmv A single person can eat out for anywhere between 9-20 bucks per meal. If you were making 100+ as a single person you are making a ton of money for Utah, though this dynamic is changing so feel free to plan for that.
Sorry I didn’t see you had kids. Still 130+ is a solid range for your family to live well. A house near Salt Lake City proper will be between 300-600k to purchase for a nicely updated home in a nice neighborhood. You’ll probably rent the same thing for like 2500-4K a month.
Thank you for sharing this. What did you mean by the dynamic is changing? Is it getting more expensive rapidly?
Man you are moving from one of the most progressive city to one of the least progressive...
Completely false.
At least 130+
